Role Introduction

The CardioRenal Regional Liaison Director (RLD) leads the execution of Field Medical Affairs strategies across the Midwest region.
This role drives innovation, strengthens collaboration, and ensures alignment between medical activities and business objectives.
You will guide a high-performing Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team to deliver impactful clinical insights and elevate patient care in cardiovascular and renal therapeutic areas.


Key Accountabilities

1. Medical Affairs Strategy Execution

  • Lead Field Medical Affairs operations and ensure alignment with therapeutic area and brand medical plans.

  • Drive impactful clinical and scientific exchanges in the field.

2. Insight Generation & Communication

  • Guide the collection of medical insights from healthcare systems.

  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for cross-functional internal teams.

3. Team Leadership & Management

  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain Field Medical staff.

  • Provide scientific training, coaching, and performance management.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

4. Change & Impact Leadership

  • Lead field-based change initiatives.

  • Ensure operational excellence and compliance with all policies, guidelines, and SOPs.

5. Financial & Resource Oversight

  • Manage team-level financial resources and budgets.

  • Support initiatives that improve organizational performance and patient outcomes.


Essential Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Doctorate in Bio-Sciences, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medicine, PA/NP, or equivalent degree/experience.

Industry Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in leadership roles within Field Medical Affairs.

  • Minimum 7 years as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).

Specialized Expertise

  • Experience with:

    • Product launch development & execution

    • Product strategy design

    • Health system partnerships

    • Payer Medical and Commercial Account collaborations

  • Strong knowledge of FDA requirements

  • Basic understanding of health economics and clinical trial design

  • Proven excellence in drug information communication

  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset

  • Ability to travel >50%

Preferred Locations

  • Houston or Dallas, Texas

  • Denver, Colorado


Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Prior management experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Cardiovascular or Renal therapeutic areas (academia or industry)


Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Base Pay Range: $186,958.40 – $280,437.60
    (Varies by experience, skills, and market conditions)

  • Short-term incentive bonus eligibility

  • Participation in equity-based long-term incentive program
