Job Summary:

The Recruitment & Retention Solution Strategist develops and implements data-driven strategies to optimize patient recruitment and retention for clinical trials. Acting as a subject matter expert in the pre-award phase, the role collaborates with internal teams and clients to ensure strategies are feasible, timely, and minimize site and patient burden.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design customized patient recruitment and retention strategies aligned with study goals and client expectations

  • Assess study-specific factors including target populations, protocol complexity, site feasibility, and geographic reach

  • Collaborate with internal teams and business development to create competitive RFP responses

  • Initiate Patient Recruitment Plans (PRPs), documenting potential risks and mitigation strategies

  • Partner with cross-functional experts (feasibility, operations, data science) to integrate real-world data and predictive analytics

  • Present and defend strategies during pre-award discussions and bid defense meetings

  • Represent R&R in strategic sponsor discussions, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry standards

  • Track proposal outcomes, analyze performance data, and refine strategies continuously

  • Contribute to best practices, case studies, and lessons learned in R&R solutioning

  • Stay updated on global regulatory requirements, cultural considerations, and patient engagement trends


Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in patient recruitment and retention strategy development, clinical trial feasibility, or related areas

  • Experience designing and implementing recruitment strategies across multiple clinical trial phases

  • Proven collaboration with operational, medical, business development, site feasibility, and vendor stakeholders

  • Experience managing site-level recruitment activities, including patient scheduling, data collection, and site initiation

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial protocols and recruitment feasibility factors

  • Experience presenting strategies to sponsors or clients in bid defense settings

  • Background in complex therapeutic areas (rare diseases, pediatrics, geriatrics, terminal illness)

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines

  • Skilled in evaluating recruitment and retention data to optimize strategies

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Professional organization membership related to clinical research preferred
