🌟 About the Role

As a Quality Lab Supervisor - Micro ID, you will oversee the daily operations of the Micro ID laboratory, lead a team of quality control technicians, and ensure all testing is performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with established protocols and regulatory standards. Your role is critical in maintaining product quality and patient safety.


📋 Key Responsibilities

🧑‍🔬 Team Leadership & Operations

  • Supervise daily shift operations of the Micro ID Lab, including scheduling and resource management.

  • Lead and manage a team of quality control technicians performing particulate matter testing via filtration and visual inspection.

  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and support the development and performance of team members.

  • Conduct regular training sessions to ensure staff competency and adherence to protocols.

  • Perform ACE Check-ins and maintain ongoing communication with staff.

🔧 Technical & Quality Oversight

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during testing or with lab equipment.

  • Follow up on out-of-limit results by performing particulate matter characterization, issuing nonconformance reports, conducting lab investigations, and coordinating follow-up testing per procedure.

  • Maintain, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect current practices and regulatory changes.

  • Review test results and correct documentation errors according to procedural standards.

  • Perform trend analysis on testing data, including efficiency metrics and results.

🦺 Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the laboratory.

  • Ensure all data is properly documented, and reports are generated and reviewed in a timely manner.


🎓 Qualifications & Skills

📚 Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (e.g., Engineering, Chemistry, Life Science, Biology).

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with aseptic techniques in laboratory or manufacturing environments.

🧠 Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of quality principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).

  • Able to perform testing using aseptic techniques, often requiring manual dexterity.

  • Able to pass inspector qualification requirements for visual inspection.

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to focus on repetitive tasks.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in team-based environments, including confined spaces.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently and efficiently.

  • Flexible schedule to meet testing timeframe requirements.

💪 Physical Requirements

  • Ability to routinely lift 10–20 pounds.

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during shifts.


💵 Compensation

  • Estimated Annual Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000

  • Salary may vary based on location, experience, skills, and other relevant factors.

  • May be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
