We are looking for Quality Control Technician for our client in Whippany, NJ

Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

Pay Range $20.20hr - $20.28hr

  • Performs repetitive testing and inspection of the company’s products using validated software.

  • Performs analyses finished product from other sections of manufacturing or performs investigations according to established procedures to determine conformance to acceptance specifications for a particular chemical or physical property.

  • Prepares instruments and apparatus according to established procedures to support the testing activities of the unit.

  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.

  • May be responsible for supporting customer complaint evaluations and event reporting obligations, including but not limited to: product investigations, disinfection, evaluation, and preliminary failure analysis.

  • Special projects will be performed as needed.

  • Specialized knowledge generally of a particular area, system or equipment.

  • Requires specific training and/or certification.

  • Applies some advanced skills to the position or specialization.

  • May adapt procedures, processes, tools equipment and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position.

  • Duties are generally routine but may include non-routine tasks.

  • Resolves most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.

  • Applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills appropriate for the position.

  • Duties and tasks are standardized. 

  • Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex and non-routine issues to higher levels. 

  • Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish tasks.

  • Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs analyses of finished products to determine conformance to accepted specifications.

  • Performs product verifications to ensure products are qualified for production use.

  • Performs test stand preventative maintenance procedures for the purpose of ensuring proper test stand operations.

  • Investigational testing of production and pilot material, as needed.

  • Performs stability testing that monitors product claims, relative to product shelf life.

Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalency.

  • Specialized or advanced training in science, electronics or related field.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

  • Detail oriented..

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  • Basic computer skills with competency using standard software packages (Word, Excel, Google Sheets).

  • Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or scientific field or equivalent experience.

  • 1+ years’ experience working in a laboratory environment.

  • 1+ years’ experience working in a regulatory environment.

  • 1+ years’ experience with process improvement.

  • 1+ years’ technical or scientific experience.
