Overview
EMD Serono is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Senior Associate Scientist to support quality operations, product release, and compliance within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring that both purchased and internally manufactured materials meet analytical, regulatory, and performance standards before release to global customers.
As part of a global healthcare and life sciences leader, you will join a team committed to advancing innovation in oncology, neurology, fertility, and precision medicine. This position offers significant potential for growth within a diverse and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
Verify that raw materials and finished products meet analytical, packaging, labeling, and performance specifications aligned with quality and regulatory standards.
Review vendor documentation, including certificates of analysis, certificates of origin, and regulatory questionnaires, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Generate customer-facing quality documents such as supply chain declarations, affidavits, and certificates of origin.
Assess raw materials and final products for compliance with animal by-product (ABP) import/export regulations.
Conduct detailed reviews of production and packaging batch records and determine release statuses based on acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality processes and maintain compliant operations as a subject matter expert.
Experience Required
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.) or Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related field).
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a regulated laboratory/manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with SAP and electronic quality management systems.
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Compensation
Salary Range: $64,400 – $104,900 annually
Compensation is based on education, experience, skill level, and location. Additional eligibility may include performance-based incentives.
