Job Overview:
Join Alcura, a Cencora company, as a key player in our clinical trials sourcing team. You’ll support global sourcing initiatives, develop pricing proposals, manage vendor and client relationships, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the drug procurement lifecycle for clinical trials.


Key Responsibilities:

Negotiation & Contract Management:

  • Assist during supplier/vendor negotiations to secure SLAs and quality agreements.

  • Ensure all agreements meet drug sourcing regulatory compliance for clinical trials.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Manage offers and orders with clients.

  • Coordinate with the Sourcing Project Manager on end-to-end clinical trial drug sourcing projects.

  • Provide procurement documentation, pricing, and terms.

  • Track progress, forecast billing, and maintain updated customer communication.

Proposal & Quotation Development:

  • Analyze client requirements to prepare accurate, tailored quotations.

  • Ensure pricing strategies comply with internal guidelines and market competitiveness.

  • Collaborate internally to gather data and build client proposals.

Client Support:

  • Respond promptly to client queries about product pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.

  • Provide professional, customized support for client satisfaction.

  • Coordinate internal resources for timely responses.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Source suppliers, obtain product quotes, and ensure supply chain reliability.

  • Act as liaison between suppliers and Accounts Payable.

  • Monitor supplier performance against key metrics and SLAs.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Identify risks in sourcing (e.g., supply chain disruptions) and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Maintain compliance with GCP and other relevant regulations.

  • Contribute to product write-off de-risking initiatives.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Support sourcing performance analysis and generate actionable insights.

  • Maintain detailed records of purchase orders and key sourcing data.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work with Proposal Development and Strategic Sourcing on tenders.

  • Liaise with QA, Supply Chain, Clinical Operations, and QPs to ensure operational integration.

  • Align sourcing strategies with project timelines and budgets.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and propose process optimization opportunities, including automation and digitization.

  • Support QA during investigations of complaints, deviations, or audits.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.

  • Experience in sourcing, procurement, or project coordination within pharma.

  • Knowledge of comparator sourcing and PLSD.

  • Experience with proposal development or key account sourcing.

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of sourcing processes in pharma.

  • Familiarity with clinical trial drug procurement and GCP guidelines.

  • Experience working in EU/global markets.

  • Strong communication skills in English.

  • Skilled in supplier evaluation, contract management, and risk analysis.

  • Excellent coordination and organizational abilities.
