About the Role:

Are you highly self-motivated, forward-thinking, and passionate about applying technology to solve business problems? GSK Global Drug Safety is seeking a Principle Engineer to deliver innovative solutions in alignment with the Drug Safety roadmap, focusing on efficiency improvement and collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Strategy & Enablement: Act as a trusted advisor with strong domain knowledge, maintain awareness of industry trends such as machine learning, visual analytics, and automation to drive product strategy.

  • Demand Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize the product backlog based on business value.

  • Governance: Participate in governance bodies, provide delivery oversight, and manage business risks.

  • Product/Project Delivery: Execute product roadmaps while maintaining a customer-first mindset.

  • Quality, Risk & Compliance: Ensure compliance with security, risk management policies, and external regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP).

  • Feature Definition: Translate customer needs and market trends into clear technology solutions and product requirements.

  • Service Management: Consult on complex Level 3 support issues and escalations.

  • Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to drive and deliver business value within tight deadlines.

  • Adoption Strategy & Change Management: Support agile solution development and foster excitement and momentum for new solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Drug Safety (Pharmacovigilance) systems, especially Argus (Application and Database).

  • Strong understanding of Argus integrations, E2B setup/ICSRs, ETLs, Axway/B2B, MedDRA, WHO standards, and Infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of different regulations and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Experience with Project Management and Agile methodologies (JIRA).

  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL-PL/SQL; Unix knowledge is a plus.

  • Deep domain knowledge in Drug Safety data management.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership influencing skills.

  • Proven ability to deliver business impact through process and IT solutions across business lines.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python and Snowflake.

  • Experience with cloud and web service platforms like Azure Databricks and RESTful Webservices.

  • Understanding of AI/ML, LLM, NLP algorithms and ability to apply them to enhance Drug Safety data offerings.
