Role Overview:

The Pilot Researcher will develop and optimize continuous flow chemical processes, translating batch processes into flow systems for improved efficiency, scalability, and safety. This role involves close collaboration with R&D, Process Development, and Production teams to ensure smooth scale-up from laboratory to pilot and commercial scales.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize continuous flow chemical processes for API production.

  • Translate batch processes to flow systems to enhance efficiency, scalability, and safety.

  • Conduct literature surveys and process evaluations for continuous manufacturing applications.

  • Demonstrate knowledge in reaction engineering, mass transfer, heat transfer, reaction kinetics, fluid dynamics, and residence time distribution.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process transfer from lab scale to pilot and commercial scale.

  • Design and conduct experiments for reaction screening, parameter optimization, and flow reactor design.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and process evaluations to drive continuous improvement.

  • Troubleshoot flow reactors, pumps, heat exchangers, and other flow chemistry equipment.

  • Evaluate process safety and ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.

  • Apply process intensification principles to improve reaction efficiency, selectivity, and yield.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.Tech in Chemical Engineering

  • Experience: 1–4 years in chemical process development, flow chemistry, or related fields

  • Strong background in organic chemistry and chemical engineering principles

  • Hands-on experience with flow chemistry technologies and continuous manufacturing
