Role Overview

As a Pharmacovigilance Services Specialist, you will lead pharmacovigilance and patient safety activities, ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements and client standards. The role involves analyzing safety cases, supporting strategy execution, and managing teams or work efforts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Affiliate Mailbox and perform reconciliation of safety reports.

  • Conduct written follow-ups for both serious and non-serious adverse events.

  • Oversee case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, case processing, submission, and follow-ups in the safety database.

  • Analyze and solve moderately complex problems, adapting methods where necessary.

  • Contribute to strategic direction as set by senior management.

  • Interact primarily with direct supervisors, peers, and client management.

  • Provide guidance on new assignments, ensuring proper methods and procedures.

  • Decisions made will impact the immediate team.

  • Manage small teams and/or independent work efforts within Accenture or at client sites.

  • Role may require rotational shifts.


Candidate Profile

  • Education: MBBS (Mandatory).

  • Experience: 7–11 years in pharmacovigilance/drug safety.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

    • Knowledge of global PV regulations and compliance requirements.

    • Leadership capability to manage small teams/projects.

    • Clear communication and collaboration with internal and client stakeholders.

    • Flexibility to work in rotational shifts.
