Per-Diem Pharmacist – Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) | Cincinnati, OH

Nuvem's Pharmacy Management Team is seeking a compassionate and patient-centric Per-Diem Pharmacist to support and manage pharmacy operations at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Cincinnati, OH. This position provides a unique opportunity to work in a retail pharmacy setting with a Monday to Friday schedule, offering a flexible work environment that aligns with patient care and pharmacy management.

Primary Role:

As the Per-Diem Pharmacist, your focus will be on patient health, compliance, and satisfaction. You will provide drug-related education, collaborate with clinic providers and clinical staff, and contribute to the overall management of pharmacy operations. Your leadership will help foster a team culture that promotes enthusiasm and excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient education on medication usage and adherence.
  • Manage pharmacy operations, including patient safety, pharmacy practice, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Supervise and educate pharmacy staff and technicians, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Oversee inventory management, financial profitability, and loss prevention.
  • Engage with clinical teams, attend meetings, and support patient care objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, fraud, waste, and abuse regulations, as well as state and local laws.

Requirements:

  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited university.
  • Licensing: Valid pharmacist license in the state of Ohio, compliant with federal and state regulations.
  • Preferred Experience: At least 3 years of pharmacy experience, including previous retail pharmacy experience (340b knowledge is a plus).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Fine motor skills for repetitive hand motions (e.g., keyboard/phone usage).
  • Effective communication skills in hearing, writing, and speaking.

Work Hours:

  • Various shifts: Monday-Wednesday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), Thursday (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM), Friday (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM), with occasional flexibility for hours between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • No major holidays or weekends.
