Job Description
Sandoz is seeking a Patient Safety Alliance Manager to join their team. The key responsibilities of this role will involve managing pharmacovigilance agreements, ensuring compliance, and maintaining good relations with external business partners. This position requires leadership in negotiations and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pharmacovigilance Agreements: Manage agreements with external business partners by leading negotiations and ensuring compliance with the terms of the agreement. Regularly communicate with key partners to facilitate compliance and maintain good relations.

  • Compliance and Oversight: Ensure all stakeholders are alerted to compliance and reconciliation issues. Collaborate with Patient Safety management and QPPV to implement corrective actions for improving compliance.

  • Timely Review and Updates: Conduct timely reviews and updates of pharmacovigilance agreements and ensure all information is current in the vigilance agreement repositories.

  • Cross-functional Interaction: Work closely with local and regional business functions to address new or changing deals and provide expertise on pharmacovigilance regulations.

  • Due Diligence and Strategy Development: Participate in due diligence activities to assess potential partner PV systems and lead the development of the PV collaboration strategy with partners.

  • Inspection Support: Support inspections by Health Authorities, internal audits, and audits of pharmacovigilance agreement partners.

Minimum Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: Degree in Biomedical Science or a related scientific discipline; a higher degree is desirable.

  • Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or a regulatory/compliance-related area, with at least 2 years in Patient Safety Alliance. Must have thorough knowledge of safety reporting, PV systems, safety databases, and industry regulations.

  • Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.

    • Ability to work in matrix cross-functional environments.

    • Cultural awareness and openness in communication.

    • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills, with flexibility to manage changing deadlines and priorities.

    • Leadership skills for leading meetings, negotiations, and implementation training.

  • Languages: Fluent in English (verbal and written).
