Position Title: Operations Analyst – Laboratory & IT Analytics

About the Role:
Labcorp seeks an Operations Analyst to utilize commercial analytics tools, particularly Visiun, to drive operational improvements in Legacy Health’s laboratories. This position will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in analytics and reporting, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements while supporting both National Operations leadership and Labcorp Operations leadership at Legacy.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Laboratory Management

  • Leverage expertise in Medical Laboratory Science and IT to assist customers in generating meaningful reports and data.
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of laboratory processes, from pre-analytical to post-analytical phases.
  • Maintain knowledge of quality metrics, quality control standards, and safety regulations in typical laboratory environments.
  • Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders from executive leadership to laboratory technologists.
  • Interpret scientific papers and apply findings to operational improvements.

Project Management & Customer Experience

  • Manage multiple priorities and projects, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Facilitate meetings, manage project documentation, and provide updates to stakeholders on project status.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, deliverables, cost tracking, and issue management for large, complex projects.
  • Build relationships outside of the project team, including end-users, vendors, and support teams.
  • Provide ongoing customer retention support and excellent communication.

Information Technology

  • Quickly learn new computer applications and ensure smooth application operation in large, high-volume organizations.
  • Support user training and feedback collection for improvement.
  • Participate in system migration, planning, and "Go-Live" delivery, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Coordinate with developers and SMEs to design testing scenarios, troubleshoot, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Present system demos to business units and support user teams.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations when handling PHI.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience working with executive-level clients and handling large data sets in Excel.
  • Proficient in Notepad++, SQL, Microsoft Office, WebEx, Teams, and SQLite Expert.
  • IT/LIS experience in software implementation, maintenance, and development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience, with leadership skills and project management experience.
  • Certification in LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • ASCP or similar accreditation preferred.
