Role Overview

As a Multilingual Medical Information Specialist, you will provide high-quality medical information services via phone and email, handling inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals about designated products. The role requires fluency in Dutch and English at a C1 level and involves translating documents between both languages, logging inquiries, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client-specific requirements. This is a full-time remote role based in the UK.


Key Responsibilities

  • Answer Inquiries: Respond to technical questions via phone, email, letter, and fax regarding designated products in an accurate and professional manner.
  • Adverse Event Handling: Recognize and report adverse events and defective product reports following ProPharma SOPs and Working Practices.
  • Translation: Translate medical information documents between English and Dutch, ensuring accuracy and high-quality standards.
  • Medical Correspondence: Use standard responses to prepare medical information correspondence or liaise with the Medical Information Support Services (MISS) team for additional requests.
  • Data Entry and Logging: Log all inquiries comprehensively and accurately in client databases.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and legal requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on Adverse Events, Product Quality Complaints, and other correspondence to ensure accuracy.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A completed Pharmacy or Life Science degree.
  • Languages: Native or C1-level proficiency in Dutch and fluency in English.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a call center environment (preferred).
    • Strong translation skills between English and Dutch.
    • Familiarity with medical information processes in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent phone manner.
    • Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritize effectively.
    • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and the ability to learn new database systems.
