Job Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your career in the Medical Department? Join us as a Medical/Scientific Liaison (MSL) in the Immunology and Transplant therapeutic areas and take the opportunity to contribute to the development of our patient-oriented therapies in these fields.

As an MSL, you will play a key role in establishing Takeda’s medical affairs presence with external stakeholders through scientific exchange, insight collection, and research support. This is a field-based role where you will be the therapeutic area (TA) expert responsible for executing the TA-specific medical plan by building, developing, and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will be empowered to:

  • Provide field-based support to the medical function to achieve the company’s objectives.
  • Identify and build strong, sustainable peer-to-peer relationships with external stakeholders to reinforce Takeda’s scientific and medical credibility.
  • Serve as the primary medical contact for the medical community in Neuroscience throughout Poland.

Main Responsibilities:

Medical Affairs:

  • Use in-depth disease and product knowledge to support Takeda’s presence in each therapeutic area.
  • Address medical/technical inquiries from healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • Provide accurate, non-promotional scientific information on both licensed and unlicensed indications following unsolicited requests from HCPs.
  • Continuously review and analyze scientific literature, generating summaries and critical assessments as needed.
  • Participate in the development and execution of key medical activities, including advisory boards, medical education sessions, and peer-to-peer training.
  • Provide clinical presentations and medical information when necessary.
  • Act as a field-based scientific and clinical expert, offering training and ad-hoc support to the sales force and other internal stakeholders (e.g., Market Access) in alignment with Takeda’s project teams.

Insight Generation:

  • Proactively build long-term peer-to-peer relationships with opinion leaders and other relevant stakeholders to understand their needs and present medical data effectively.
  • Capture and share field-based insights to support medical and scientific strategy and business development.

Evidence Generation:

  • Support ongoing and future Company-Sponsored Studies by reviewing proposed CRO site lists, attending Global/Regional Investigator Meetings, and providing feedback to clinical operations.
  • Facilitate unsolicited requests from HCPs for investigator-initiated sponsored research proposals (IISR) through engagement with Global External Research and on Medical Affairs Company Studies (MACS).
  • Contribute to national disease registries and real-world evidence (RWE) projects in relevant disease areas.
  • Understand and leverage points in the patient journey.

What You Should Bring:

  • A University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related field (e.g., Biology, Biotechnology).
  • Proven ability to think cross-functionally.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to stay organized and resourceful.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, able to multitask and deliver results on time.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build cross-cultural relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders with mutual respect.
  • Experience with multichannel communication and digital approaches.
