Job Overview
EVERSANA is seeking a highly experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) / Senior MSL to support the launch of a targeted oncology therapy for ALK-positive Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). This is a field-based scientific role covering the U.S. East Coast (Maine to Florida), focused on engaging Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and scientific communities through high-quality, compliant scientific exchange.

The role serves as a critical bridge between clinical development, medical affairs, and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate dissemination of clinical data and strengthening scientific partnerships within the oncology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Engagement & KOL Management

  • Act as the primary medical and scientific contact within the assigned territory

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with KOLs, investigators, and healthcare professionals

  • Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchange on oncology data, clinical trials, and treatment paradigms

Therapeutic Expertise & Scientific Communication

  • Maintain deep expertise in oncology, specifically ALK+ NSCLC and targeted therapies

  • Present complex clinical data, outcomes, and value-based evidence to healthcare stakeholders

  • Support advisory boards, scientific meetings, and congress activities

Clinical Trial & Research Support

  • Provide support for clinical trial sites and investigators participating in company-sponsored studies

  • Assist with investigator-initiated study proposals and clinical program requests

  • Ensure strong understanding of clinical protocols, endpoints, and study outcomes

Pre-Launch & Territory Strategy

  • Conduct KOL mapping and profiling to support product launch readiness

  • Analyze patient pathways, treatment practices, and competitive landscape

  • Develop and execute territory engagement plans aligned with strategic objectives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams including Medical Affairs, R&D, and Commercial functions

  • Provide actionable insights and field intelligence to internal stakeholders

  • Support training and medical education initiatives for internal teams

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory guidelines, SOPs, and ethical standards

  • Document scientific interactions and respond to unsolicited medical inquiries appropriately

  • Maintain high standards of data integrity and audit readiness

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree required: PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, NP/PA or equivalent

  • Strong understanding of oncology clinical practice and drug development

Experience Required

For Medical Science Liaison (MSL):

  • Minimum 2+ years of MSL experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in oncology, rare diseases, or immunology

For Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL):

  • Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience

  • At least 3+ years of oncology, rare disease, or immunology experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in targeted therapies and oncology product launches

  • Knowledge of ALK+ NSCLC treatment landscape

  • Experience engaging with payer systems and formulary committees
