Job Overview

ProPharma is hiring an Information Specialist to support its Health and Safety Call Center operations. The role involves handling inbound medical and product safety calls, documenting adverse events, providing first-aid guidance based on approved client protocols, and escalating complex cases to senior medical or toxicology teams when required.

Experience Required

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety Call Handling

  • Answer incoming calls at the Health and Safety Call Center
  • Handle cases involving:
    • Human exposure
    • Animal exposure
    • Product safety concerns
  • Obtain demographic and case-related information from callers

Adverse Event Documentation

  • Record adverse events and safety-related information in the safety database
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation
  • Perform follow-up communications with callers when necessary

Medical Information Support

  • Provide approved first-aid and product safety information
  • Communicate effectively with:
    • Consumers
    • Workers
    • Healthcare professionals
  • Avoid providing unauthorized diagnostic or treatment advice

Escalation & Case Management

  • Identify cases requiring escalation
  • Notify toxicologists or senior staff according to company guidelines
  • Monitor safety trends and emerging product-related concerns

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain compliance with company procedures and safety protocols
  • Support continuous improvement of customer service and operational quality
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education programs
