Job Description

The Position

The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within a designated territory. Acting as the scientific face of the Client, the Senior MSL will leverage expertise to identify collaborative opportunities aligned with the company's strategic goals. The role requires mastery in technical, clinical, and functional aspects, ensuring effective communication of critical scientific data to key external stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain expert relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across various specialties.
  • Translate field medical strategies into actionable KOL engagement plans.
  • Provide scientific support to KOLs and referring centers.
  • Collaborate with Medical Information teams to improve response materials and FAQs.
  • Act as a primary liaison for investigators interested in conducting independent research.
  • Implement strategic medical plans at designated centers.
  • Serve as an onboarding trainer and mentor for new MSLs and Key Account Managers.
  • Organize and contribute to scientific congresses and symposia.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of scientific and treatment landscape trends.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional Product Teams to support medical and commercial plans.
  • Plan and execute scientific/medical advisory boards as required.
  • Ensure compliance with EU pharma regulations regarding MSL activities and HCP/patient interactions.
  • Deliver clinical presentations and respond to scientific inquiries in various healthcare settings.
  • Develop and implement territory plans aligned with broader company strategies.
  • Travel up to 70% within the designated territory.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Scientific master’s degree required.
  • 5-10 years of MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Preferred experience in rare diseases, especially in Oncology or Neurology.
  • Expertise in presenting clinical and scientific information in different settings.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools like Veeva CRM, Adobe Professional, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong relationship management and collaborative skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Must reside within the assigned territory and hold a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional experience in Oncology or Neurology.
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Suite and CRM systems.
