Medical Research Associate – Lenexa, KS (On-site)

Job Summary:
ICON plc, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare intelligence, is hiring a Medical Research Associate to join its on-site team in Lenexa, Kansas. This role involves direct interaction with clinical trial participants, performing vital signs, and supporting overall patient care during research protocols. Ideal for professionals with medical assistant, phlebotomy, EMT, or similar backgrounds.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist clinical trial participants upon arrival

  • Take and record vital signs: height, weight, BMI, blood pressure

  • Perform phlebotomy and ensure sample integrity

  • Follow study protocols and client requirements strictly

  • Chaperone participants during study breaks and ensure their comfort

  • Participate in internal meetings and assignments


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required

  • 1+ years of experience in a medical or clinical setting preferred

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Phlebotomist certification is a plus

  • Strong verbal communication in English required

  • Preferred backgrounds: Paramedic, EMT, CNA, Medical Assistant, Certified Medication Aide, Telemetry or Lab Technician

  • Undergraduate degree in a health-related field is a bonus
