Position Overview

Pediatric Associates is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team at the Citrus Park location in Tampa, FL. This position is vital in providing a welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors while managing essential administrative tasks. Primary Functions

  • Patient check-in and check-out: Greet patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and provide required forms and consents.
  • Payment handling: Collect patient balances, post charges and payments, and reconcile records.
  • Documentation management: Scan and upload documents into the system.
  • Insurance verification: Ensure patient insurance is active and appropriate for the visit.
  • Communication: Provide patients with visit summaries, referral information, and follow-up appointments.
  • General office duties: Maintain a clean work area, participate in staff meetings, and assist with mail and document delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license required upon hire.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), proficient in computer systems, and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
