Job Summary:

The Medical Advisor will serve as a scientific leader within the Pharmacovigilance department, supporting Therapeutic Area (TA) medical strategy. This includes overseeing medical activities, managing key thought leader engagements, and ensuring the execution of medical affairs plans. The role will require active collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to contribute to strategic medical decisions for Dr. Reddy’s products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Scientific Leadership: Serve as a core scientific member of the cross-functional team, ensuring the scientific foundation for the TA medical strategy.
  • Medical Affairs Execution: Conceptualize and manage medical activities, including research, publications, medical education, and patient support programs.
  • Engage Thought Leaders: Collaborate with key thought leaders through medical affairs initiatives to align with the overall strategic plan.
  • Strategic Plan Execution: Ensure optimal execution of the regional medical affairs plan, including product education and special projects.
  • Expert Guidance: Act as a scientific expert within the TA, providing training on the latest medical developments to the sales and marketing teams.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • MBBS with M.D. in Pharmacology/Medicine or full-time post-graduate qualification in any discipline of medicine.

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Medical Advisor within the pharmaceutical or research industry.

Skills & Attributes:

Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge in medical writing, clinical trial methodologies, and ICH-GCP (International Council for Harmonisation of Good Clinical Practice).
  • Familiarity with Indian regulations related to Health Care Professionals’ interactions (MCI code of ethics, UCPMP Code, Drugs and Cosmetic Act).
  • Strong academic foundation with deep knowledge in the therapeutic area and research methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leading specialists in peer-to-peer relationships.
  • Strong track record of success and professional achievements in a complex business environment.
