Role Overview

The Market Research Excellence Partner will drive efficiency, compliance, and quality across Astellas’ Primary Market Research (PMR) projects. This role will establish and maintain standardized processes, oversee project execution, and act as a key liaison with global functions to ensure alignment with regulatory, ethical, and corporate standards.

The position offers hybrid work flexibility while requiring 1-2 days onsite per week in Bengaluru.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized PMR processes for Global, Regional, and Local projects, ensuring compliance with E&C, PV, Regulatory, and Medical standards.

  • Establish governance frameworks for the use of Artificial Intelligence in Market Research, collaborating with Legal, E&C, and other global stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline PMR execution, reducing operational complexity for brand teams and affiliates.

  • Update PMR SOPs and associated training materials, ensuring ongoing compliance and knowledge sharing.

  • Coordinate with global functions (e.g., PV) to maintain systems supporting reporting and analytics.

  • Serve as a representative for SI&A during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews of PMR processes.

  • Manage vendor relationships in coordination with Global Procurement, maintaining preferred vendor lists and feedback processes.

  • Monitor PMR KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives across projects and geographies.

  • Share best practices and innovative approaches within the global market research community.

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional PMR projects, including ATU/brand tracking, ensuring high-quality insights delivery.

  • Support leadership reporting to internal stakeholders, including Commercial Management, Finance, PV, IS, E&C, and other commercial divisions.

  • Represent SI&A in operational cross-functional teams or task forces to drive strategic alignment and project success.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare market research, competitive intelligence, strategic consulting, or related fields.

  • Strong project management expertise, managing multiple and complex projects simultaneously.

  • Deep understanding of global pharmaceutical operations and business strategy.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across global, cross-functional, and cross-cultural teams.

  • Proficient in collaboration and productivity tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD).

  • Background in mathematics, statistics, or life sciences.

  • Professional certifications in market research (e.g., IIPMR).

  • Experience with global stakeholder engagement and cross-geography projects.
