About the Team

The India Engineering Center (IEC), established in 2009 and located in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, is a global research and development center with over 250 employees. The team focuses on delivering innovative, state-of-the-art products, including laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, chromatography, mass spectrometry, and remote monitoring solutions.


Role Purpose Summary

As the Manager of R&D Projects, you will be a key member of the global PCBA COE Ecosystem. This role involves technical leadership and project ownership for a product portfolio, ensuring efficient project delivery and technical quality. You will actively engage in the product development cycle, from idea generation to product launch, addressing technical challenges, including regulatory certifications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Own the technical leadership for the plant product portfolio delivered from the India Engineering Center.

  • Project Management: Lead project teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery. Manage multiple complex projects with end-to-end ownership.

  • Risk Management: Establish a structured methodology for risk assessment, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.

  • Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship and guidance to project managers and team members on critical design issues.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead project discussions, select vendors, and manage project budgets to meet requirements.

  • Budget and Resource Management: Develop and lead annual project budgets. Coordinate with suppliers and project partners to acquire necessary resources.

  • Team Development: Lead and mentor project managers to optimize team performance, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development.

  • Technical Reviews: Conduct technical reviews, support the selection of vendors, and ensure adherence to the technical solution documentation process.


Candidate Requirements

Technical Competencies:

  • Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field with equivalent experience.

  • Experience: 13+ years in product design, architecture, and implementation, with a strong proficiency in systems, software, firmware, hardware, and electro-mechanical equipment.

  • Project Management: At least 3 years of experience in end-to-end product development as a Project Manager, with a solid understanding of the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) and audit processes.

  • People Management: Minimum of 3 years of experience in people management and portfolio prioritization.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in technical review processes, documentation, and solution development.

  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess root causes of failures and implement long-term solutions.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with EMC/EMI, CCC, UL, and ROHS standards.
