Job Overview

A strategic opportunity is available for an experienced Manager – Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical medical affairs domain. This role is ideal for medical and scientific professionals with expertise in medical affairs strategy, KOL engagement, scientific communication, evidence generation, medical education, advisory board management, and therapeutic area leadership.

The selected candidate will serve as a core scientific leader supporting the Cardio-Vascular-Metabolic (CVM) portfolio, driving scientific engagement, external medical strategy, and evidence-based therapeutic leadership across emerging markets.

This role is highly suited for professionals seeking advancement in medical affairs leadership, cardiovascular pharmaceutical strategy, KOL management, clinical scientific engagement, and therapeutic area development.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Affairs Strategy & Scientific Leadership

  • Serve as a core scientific member of the cross-functional franchise team
  • Drive scientific enablement for the Cardio-Vascular-Metabolic portfolio
  • Support development and execution of strategic medical affairs initiatives aligned with business objectives
  • Provide therapeutic area expertise to support clinical and commercial decision-making

Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Engagement

  • Identify, map, profile, and maintain strategic engagement with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and thought leaders
  • Build long-term peer-to-peer scientific relationships with healthcare experts
  • Drive high-impact KOL engagement strategies across assigned therapeutic geographies
  • Convert clinical insights from KOL interactions into strategic therapeutic initiatives

External Scientific Engagement
Act as the primary scientific representative for the organization with:

  • Thought leaders
  • Physicians
  • Healthcare professionals (HCPs)
  • Clinical experts
  • Advisory boards
  • Scientific stakeholders

Support high-quality peer scientific interactions aligned with compliance standards.

Scientific Communication & Medical Education

  • Deliver scientific presentations to physicians and healthcare stakeholders
  • Conduct evidence-based product and disease-state discussions
  • Provide accurate, balanced, and compliant scientific information
  • Support:
    • Medical education initiatives
    • Product education programs
    • Disease awareness programs
    • Scientific knowledge dissemination

Evidence Generation & Medical Projects
Support strategic medical initiatives including:

  • Medical evidence generation
  • Investigator-led collaborations
  • Advisory board execution
  • Scientific special projects
  • Pre-license scientific evaluations
  • Clinical insight development

Drive scientific evidence initiatives aligned with therapy strategy and unmet medical needs.

Therapeutic Area Intelligence

  • Monitor emerging clinical, scientific, and treatment trends in cardiovascular and metabolic medicine
  • Track disease evolution, treatment practices, and competitive scientific developments
  • Translate medical insights into actionable strategic recommendations
  • Support therapy area shaping initiatives

Scientific Expertise & Stakeholder Support

  • Act as internal and external subject matter expert for assigned therapy areas
  • Support proactive and reactive scientific discussions related to:
    • Product data
    • Clinical evidence
    • Treatment trends
    • Disease management approaches
    • Emerging therapeutic opportunities

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with:

Required Qualifications

Educational Qualifications
Candidates are typically expected to hold qualifications in:
