Role Summary

The role supports medical and scientific evaluation for new product ideation and business development activities. It involves assessing molecules, indications, and platforms, and providing scientific input for licensing, partnerships, and portfolio decisions.


Key Responsibilities

1. Medical & Scientific Evaluation

  • Support new product ideation and feasibility assessment from a medical perspective

  • Evaluate molecules, indications, and platforms for clinical and scientific merit

  • Assess unmet medical needs and product differentiation

2. Business Development Support

  • Provide medical inputs for Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) activities

  • Evaluate in-licensing, co-development, and partnership opportunities

  • Support go/no-go decisions and portfolio prioritization

3. Clinical Data Assessment

  • Review clinical trial data (Phase I–IV)

  • Analyze safety, efficacy, and benefit–risk profiles

  • Evaluate development plans, regulatory pathways, and lifecycle potential

  • Assess data packages and data rooms for due diligence

4. Medical Due Diligence

  • Conduct medical due diligence for BD transactions

  • Prepare medical evaluation summaries and risk assessments for internal committees and senior leadership

5. External & Primary Research

  • Engage with medical fraternity for primary research

  • Identify clinical and therapeutic need gaps

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with BD, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical teams

  • Support strategic decision-making and product prioritization

7. Product Review

  • Review artworks and labels for all in-licensed products


Work Experience

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical company


Education

  • Master’s degree (relevant scientific/medical field)
