Position Overview

IQVIA is seeking an experienced Manager, Clinical Operations to lead and develop clinical staff supporting global clinical research studies. This role is ideal for professionals with strong leadership capabilities, expertise in clinical trial operations, and the ability to drive quality, compliance, and performance across assigned project teams.

This is a full-time, home-based opportunity with collaboration across multiple clinical and operational teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and mentor clinical staff in alignment with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee workload distribution, performance evaluations, professional development, and staff engagement.

  • Participate in talent acquisition, including reviewing candidates and supporting interview and hiring processes.

  • Ensure new hires are effectively onboarded, trained, and equipped with systems, tools, and resources.

  • Allocate clinical operations staff to studies based on experience, training, and project needs.

  • Monitor quality of clinical work through consistent review, documentation assessments, and performance tracking.

  • Identify quality risks and implement corrective action plans to maintain operational standards.

  • Ensure staff meet workload, productivity, and quality metrics defined by clinical operations leadership.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address project challenges, enhance delivery, and support client satisfaction.

  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization efforts.


Experience Level Required

  • Minimum: Prior clinical trial experience with proven leadership or management responsibilities.

  • Preferred: Extensive experience managing clinical teams within CRO, pharma, or biotechnology environments.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline preferred.

  • Strong understanding of GCP, ICH guidelines, and clinical trial regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience guiding high-performing teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and clients.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic research environment and maintain strong working relationships.


Compensation

  • Estimated Annual Base Pay Range: $86,500 – $216,000

  • Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and work schedule.

  • Additional benefits, incentive programs, and bonus opportunities may apply based on role and eligibility.
