Job Summary
IQVIA is seeking a highly experienced Manager, Clinical Data Management (CDM) to lead and support a team of data management professionals in Kochi, India. This hybrid role involves overseeing end-to-end data management deliverables, ensuring high-quality database setup, and collaborating across global clinical teams. A solid understanding of CDM systems, leadership acumen, and expertise in clinical trial data delivery are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the delivery of CRF/eCRF design, database setup, data validation, and data management plans.
Provide expert guidance on data management processes and system best practices.
Conduct regular meetings with direct reports to track timelines, deliverables, financials, and team performance.
Mentor, train, and assess development needs of CDM staff; ensure compliance with SOPs.
Support staffing strategy, work allocation, and peak load forecasting across global projects.
Actively participate in project bid defenses, kick-off meetings, RFIs, RFPs, and audits.
Drive engagement initiatives, performance planning, and quality metrics across the CDM unit.
Collaborate on business development and financial performance goals for the department.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in clinical, biological, or mathematical sciences (or equivalent).
Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience, including team leadership in CDM.
In-depth knowledge of data management systems and clinical trial deliverables.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team mentoring capabilities.
Proficient in project financials: forecasting, EAC, burn rate monitoring, and risk mitigation.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
