About the Role

IQVIA is seeking an experienced Manager, Clinical Data Management to lead and mentor a team of Data Management professionals. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality database deliverables, efficient project execution, and operational excellence across global clinical data management activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and support Data Management teams to deliver accurate CRF/e-CRF development, database design, validation programming, Data Management Plans, and end-to-end deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provide expert technical review, strategic input, and problem-solving support to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Ensure team compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and study-specific requirements while identifying and addressing skill development needs.

  • Conduct bi-monthly meetings with direct reports to review project timelines, deliverables, financial updates, resource allocation, risks, and training progress.

  • Implement employee engagement improvement strategies with consistent application across global teams.

  • Collaborate with project leads to plan work allocation, staffing needs, technology requirements, and workload forecasting.

  • Communicate organizational priorities to teams and escalate challenges or opportunities to leadership when appropriate.

  • Serve as a backup for team members or ensure proper coverage during absence or role transitions.

  • Participate in Bid Defenses, Kick-Off Meetings, RFIs, RFPs, and budget discussions as required.

  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring team readiness, compliance, and documentation accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences, Nursing, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant Data Management experience, including proven people management responsibilities.

  • Advanced understanding of Data Management systems, processes, and clinical development workflows.

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience applying project finance concepts such as forecasting, EAC, and burn-rate monitoring.

  • Ability to work independently while driving cross-functional results in a matrix environment.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify risks, propose solutions, and maintain high-quality delivery standards.
