Job Overview

Fortrea is seeking a Manager for Clinical Data Management (CDM) to lead resource management, staff development, and process improvements in clinical data management. The Manager will oversee staff productivity, ensure high-quality clinical data, manage budgets, and support the development and execution of training programs. This role also requires participation in problem-solving initiatives and effective resource planning to meet business targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resource & Staff Management:
    • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of 10-15 employees.
    • Ensure productivity and quality standards are met and assist with recruitment to meet business needs.
    • Monitor and manage the utilization and billability of staff.
    • Provide support for career development and training to ensure competency achievements.
  • Process & Quality Management:
    • Participate in the identification and implementation of solutions for local and regional data management issues.
    • Support quality control activities to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent clinical data delivery.
    • Implement process improvements and monitor revenue and margin performance to meet targets.
  • Client Satisfaction & Budget Management:
    • Support project staff in delivering on-time, quality data that meets client satisfaction.
    • Assist with developing time and cost estimates, and ensure project budget management.
  • Performance Reviews & Action Plans:
    • Address quality and performance issues based on feedback from clients, satisfaction surveys, or internal team feedback.
    • Ensure performance reviews and development plans for staff are completed in line with Fortrea guidelines.
  • Other Duties:
    • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • B.Sc. degree in Life Science/Pharmacy or equivalent discipline (or related certification).
    • Approximately 18 months of relevant experience in a related field, including clinical data management.
    • Understanding of global clinical development budgets, resource management, and clinical trial processes.
    • Knowledge of ICH/GCP Guidelines, drug development, and data handling.
  • Experience:
    • 8-10 years of relevant experience, including 2-4 years of supervisory experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage a team of 10-15 employees.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
