Job Overview

The Junior Executive – DC Stores will be responsible for supporting store operations, ensuring efficient material receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory management while maintaining safety and compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Material Receipt & Verification:

    • Receive materials such as room temperature items, cold storage, hazardous chemicals, flammable substances, reagents, lab consumables, and packing materials.
    • Verify, segregate, barcode, and store materials based on chemical compatibility zones and temperature requirements.
    • Monitor and record cold storage temperatures per SOP guidelines.
  • Labeling & Documentation:

    • Label containers with zone identification, storage conditions, and expiry dates following SOP.
    • Ensure labels are free from handwritten modifications.
    • Maintain accurate records in SAP MM Module for inventory tracking.
  • Material Issuance & Stock Management:

    • Issue materials strictly based on reservation requests.
    • Conduct quarterly stock verification, report mismatches, and update inventory records.
    • Manage the return process for lab materials and dispose of redundant chemicals in coordination with EHSS.
  • Inventory & Compliance:

    • Ensure 100% inventory accuracy and optimization.
    • Support audit compliance and maintain real-time records.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth store operations.
  • Safety & Emergency Handling:

    • Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) protocols at all times.
    • Handle chemical spills, fumes, leaks, and firefighting emergencies.
    • Attend mandatory training on EHS measures.

Educational Qualification

  • BSc in Chemistry or a relevant qualification.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Knowledge of SAP MM Module for inventory management.
  • Understanding of chemical properties, hazardous material identification, and storage compatibility.
  • Proficiency in documentation and SDS management.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations like chemical spills, leaks, and fire hazards.
  • Experience in warehouse and inventory management.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word & Excel).

Experience

  • 0 - 3 years of work experience in a relevant field.
