Job Summary

The IMS Recon Specialist I (also referred to as IMS Reporting Specialist I) will be responsible for managing project closure activities related to investigator payments by reviewing and reconciling data across multiple internal systems — including site contracts, Oracle databases, and MCTMS.

This role requires a strong understanding of data reconciliation, financial tracking, and reporting in a clinical research or analytical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform project closure activities by reviewing site contracts and ensuring alignment with Oracle and MCTMS data.

  • Handle payment data reconciliation and verification for accuracy and completeness.

  • Generate and analyze reports using Excel to support payment and project tracking.

  • Maintain compliance with company SOPs and ensure audit readiness.

  • Identify discrepancies and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve data issues.

  • Support internal audits and contribute to process improvement initiatives related to payment tracking and reporting.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong Excel proficiency (Intermediate to Advanced level), including:

    • VLOOKUP, SUM, IF, Data Validation, Conditional Formatting

    • Pivot Tables, Finding Duplicates, CONCATENATE

    • Converting data from Text to Columns, Date/Value Formatting

  • Solid knowledge of data reconciliation, report generation, and payment handling.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.


Preferred (Good to Have) Skills

  • Experience in clinical research or analytics, particularly with financial data.

  • Exposure to auditing or quality control processes.

  • Familiarity with clinical systems (e.g., MCTMS, Oracle).


Experience & Qualification

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Life Sciences, or related discipline.

  • Experience: 1–3 years of relevant industry experience (clinical or financial data reconciliation preferred).
