Fortrea, one of the world’s leading Clinical Research Organizations (CROs), is seeking a Dietary Coordinator to join our Phase 1 Clinical Research Unit in Madison, WI. This role offers hands-on exposure to early-phase clinical trials, including first-in-human, ascending dose, food effect, and drug-drug interaction studies.
The Dietary Coordinator will interact directly with healthy volunteer participants, support nutritional management of clinical studies, and ensure adherence to strict dietary protocols. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented role ideal for individuals passionate about clinical research, patient safety, and nutrition management.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement study-specific dietary requirements as outlined by clinical coordinators.
Collaborate with dietitians to ensure nutritional guidance aligns with study protocols.
Place dietary orders with approved vendors and coordinate the delivery of dietary supplies.
Maintain dietary supply inventory and cost records to support efficient operations.
Supervise and schedule Dietary Assistants to ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain soft drink and ancillary dietary inventories as required.
Support corporate and departmental initiatives as assigned.
Perform additional duties related to clinical study dietary management.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent; Food Service Certification preferred.
1–2 years of experience in dietary management, food service, or clinical research support.
Proficient in basic computer skills, including data entry, word processing, and email systems.
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow study-specific instructions and documentation.
Ability to work effectively under strict timelines and in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment.
Skills & Competencies

Comfortable working in a technology-driven environment with electronic data capture systems.
