Job Description:

We are looking for a Healthcare IT Program Manager to provide consultative guidance, lead assessments, and manage discovery phases for various programs and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare IT and be able to recommend program/product/application strategies, develop functional designs, and manage business requirements within an Agile framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead assessments and discovery phases for programs and projects.
  • Analyze and recommend strategies for programs/products/applications from a domain perspective.
  • Develop functional designs for platforms/products/applications.
  • Create, prioritize, and maintain product/application backlogs.
  • Interface with customers to understand product/application/platform requirements and deliverables.
  • Manage and analyze business requirements, and handle changes/conflicts in the product backlog.
  • Facilitate user groups and drive consensus independently.
  • Write detailed descriptions and analysis of user needs, business impacts, and system functionality.
  • Elicit, analyze, and elaborate business requirements, epics, and user stories.
  • Provide estimates for application/product/project delivery.
  • Manage project schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Own assigned projects and ensure successful deliveries.
  • Address and resolve issues using available resources in a timely manner.
  • Conduct sprint/release demos and work with stakeholders to close out changes/feedback.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager and Project Managers on the Change Management process.
  • Attend meetings with offshore engineering teams to ensure that market/customer needs are understood.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the healthcare IT industry.
  • Healthcare domain experience in areas such as:
    • EHR/EMR applications and integration tools.
    • Clinical data models, messaging, and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
    • Value-based healthcare and payment programs.
    • Provider analytics.
  • Proven experience as a functional subject matter expert in healthcare IT.
  • Experience in data management, big data, BI, and analytics projects.
  • Experience working with offshore, distributed teams.
  • Expert knowledge in analysis, documentation, and presentation tools (e.g., MS Office, Visio, JIRA, Rally).
  • Experience in product management roles, including strategy, backlog maintenance, requirements elicitation, and Agile methodologies.
