About the Department

Global Medical Affairs, GBS (GMA-GBS) operates as an extension of Novo Nordisk’s Headquarters in Denmark and Zurich. Based in Bangalore, this highly motivated team of medical advisors, publication managers, and project managers collaborates with affiliates and regions worldwide.

Core Focus Areas:

  • Communicating scientific and medical insights on products to external scientific communities and internal stakeholders.
  • Delivering external medical events, including in-house content development and project management.
  • Publication planning for Rare Diseases therapy areas.

The Position

As a Global Scientific Advisor, you will:

  • Deliver timely, accurate, and credible medical communication materials for diverse stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between medical affairs teams, project managers, and medical illustrators.
  • Provide back-end and on-site support for clinical activities driven by global medical affairs.
  • Proactively engage with global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to foster scientific dialogue and relationships.
  • Support the execution of global medical education and communication plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure healthcare professionals (HCPs) and KOLs recognize and understand the clinical profile of compounds through presentations, meetings, and symposia.
  • Contribute to data-driven strategies by leveraging your scientific expertise and research experience.

Qualifications

Education:

  • PhD in Life Sciences with significant clinical and/or research expertise (e.g., Hemophilia, Endocrinology, or Internal Medicine).

Experience:

  • At least 2 years in clinical and/or pharmaceutical industry settings.
  • Demonstrated research expertise (e.g., published research papers).

Skills:

  • Proficient in creating and delivering impactful presentations using MS PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
