Internship Overview

The Global Medical Affairs Strategy Intern – Solid Tumors will support Genmab’s Global Medical Affairs Strategy team over a 10-week summer internship. The role offers hands-on experience in strategic planning for early solid tumor programs within Genmab’s immuno-oncology pipeline.

Interns will contribute to cross-portfolio initiatives, including dashboard automation, KOL mapping, competitive intelligence, and scientific landscape assessments. A primary capstone project will allow interns to showcase their skills and contribute to real-world Medical Affairs strategies.

This position follows a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite in Princeton, NJ, and 2 days remote per week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a capstone project aligned with Medical Affairs strategy, such as dashboard automation, KOL mapping, or competitive intelligence tracking.

  • Present project outcomes and recommendations to the Global Medical Affairs Strategy team.

  • Assist in preparing internal strategic deliverables, including slide decks, scientific background materials, and components of global strategic plans.

  • Participate in team meetings, providing updates on project progress and insights.

  • Support cross-portfolio initiatives to ensure scientific alignment across early pipeline programs.


Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a PharmD or PhD program in biomedical sciences, oncology, immunology, pharmaceutical sciences, public health, or related fields.

  • Strong interest in Medical Affairs, oncology, and drug development.

  • Ability to interpret and summarize scientific literature accurately.

  • Analytical skills and experience with Excel, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.

  • Genuine interest in clinical research and drug development.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Initiative, curiosity, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior experience in oncology, immunology, or Medical Affairs–related work.

  • Familiarity with scientific conference abstracts, publications, or competitive landscapes.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables.
