Job Description: Research Technician at Fortrea
Location: Daytona Beach, FL

We are seeking a Research Technician to join our Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team and lead Early Phase clinical trials for our clients with maximum speed and efficiency. This full-time, office-based position offers the opportunity to work with some of the world’s top pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide a high standard of care for participants in clinical trials, using your clinical judgement to respond to emergency situations.
  • Perform various clinical tasks, including:
    • Blood pressure, venipuncture, weight, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings.
    • Preparation and accurate recording of ECGs/Holters.
    • Collection and processing of biological samples as specified in the protocol.
    • Monitor meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants.
    • Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment.
    • Participate in screening procedures as needed.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Fortrea may consider relevant experience in lieu of education).
  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification is preferred.
  • 0-1 year of clinical research experience; previous clinical experience is ideal, but we are open to recent graduates or those with any clinical background.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong teamwork and people skills to ensure smooth study operations.
  • Comfort working with electronic data systems for collecting research data.
