We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to support regional finance operations in the APAC region. This role is ideal for a qualified accounting professional with strong financial reporting, month-end close, and regional accounting experience within a multinational environment.


Role Purpose

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing monthly financial accounting activities for designated APAC legal entities under the guidance of the Finance Manager. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with US GAAP, and adherence to global finance policies and statutory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close activities, including posting accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate cost recognition for local and US reporting.

  • Set up and post bank transactions and journals into the general ledger.

  • Prepare and distribute daily cash reports for APAC entities and monitor daily funding requirements.

  • Ensure appropriate cash positioning across local bank accounts, supporting treasury activities as needed.

  • Post monthly journals such as depreciation and maintain supporting schedules.

  • Produce trial balances for APAC entities in line with US reporting timelines.

  • Perform P&L reviews, variance (flux) analysis, and support cost control initiatives.

  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank, control, debtor, and creditor accounts based on risk categorization.

  • Support year-end audits, statutory accounts preparation, and tax filings in coordination with Finance Managers, advisors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Liaise with regional and global finance teams to ensure consistency and integrity of financial data.

  • Manage VAT and local statutory reporting requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with Group Finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Act as the key finance contact for operational managers and local employees within assigned countries.


Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.

  • 1–2+ years of experience working in a multinational organization with regional or international accounting responsibilities.

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and multi-entity financial reporting.

  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems, preferably Oracle.

  • Proven experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.


Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level or higher); Hyperion experience is an advantage.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across geographies.

  • Ability to work effectively with international stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
