Role: Field Application Scientist - Pharmaceutical

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat


What We’ll Get You Doing

  • Customer Support: Assist customers with chromatography challenges through onsite demos, method development, and troubleshooting.
  • Seminars & Presentations: Create and deliver seminars at customer sites to educate and engage audiences.
  • Remote Support: Provide customer assistance via email, online support inquiries, and live chat.
  • Content Creation: Develop technical content such as Tech Notes, webinars, and posters to highlight Phenomenex products globally.
  • Lab Work: Conduct applications work in the Bengaluru Applications Laboratory as needed for investigations and marketing content generation.

Essential Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • B.Sc. in Chemistry/B.Pharm. with 12+ years of HPLC/UHPLC experience in Analytical R&D, OR
    • M.Sc. in Chemistry/M.Pharm. with 10+ years of HPLC/UHPLC method development experience in Analytical R&D.
  • Expertise in Chromatography:
    • Experience developing HPLC/UHPLC-UV/DAD/ELSD assays for APIs and pharmaceutical formulations.
    • In-depth understanding of method parameters, mobile phases, and stationary phases’ selectivity.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, ease with public speaking, and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and the ability to independently manage and execute a schedule.
  • Willingness to Travel: Up to 50% domestic travel and relocation if necessary.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Adaptability: Ability to balance competing departmental priorities effectively.
  • Sample Preparation: Familiarity with techniques like Solid Phase Extraction (SPE).
