Job Summary:

The People Specialist is a bilingual HR generalist responsible for employee relations, compliance, onboarding, benefits, and workforce support at the Memphis, TN facility. This role supports HR strategy execution, ensures legal compliance, manages sensitive HR matters, and maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle complex employee relations issues, including separations and workplace violations.

  • Support payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, and compliance procedures.

  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR activities with business goals.

  • Monitor compensation and recruiting trends; provide talent recommendations.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

  • Conduct training, policy implementation, and employee surveys.

  • Maintain HR records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Promote DEI practices and model inclusive behaviors.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in HR) required; Master’s in HR or Psychology preferred

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years in HR-related roles

    • Experience in employment law, employee relations, and HR compliance

    • SHRM certification preferred

  • Language: Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written)

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Additional: Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and organizational skills; must maintain professionalism and integrity


Work Conditions:

  • Location: 100% on-site at warehouse in Memphis, TN

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week

  • Travel: Not expected

  • Physical: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
