Job Summary:

Promea Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Executive to lead engineering projects, particularly in the installation, commissioning, and qualification of systems in our BSL3 facility. This role involves oversight of HVAC, clean room systems, and other critical infrastructure within our manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualification & Documentation:

    • Prepare and maintain qualification documents such as Design Qualification (DQ), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) for AHUs (Air Handling Units), FCUs (Fan Coil Units), and Ventilation Units.
    • Ensure all necessary certificates are in place to support documentation submitted to the Quality Assurance (QA) department.
  • HVAC & System Maintenance:

    • Oversee the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems, including air-cooled chillers, ensuring optimal performance.
    • Responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of LAF (Laminar Air Flow) and Pass Box units.
  • Electrical & BMS Systems:

    • Supervise the installation and commissioning of electrical and BMS (Building Management System) components related to HVAC systems.
  • Clean Room & Site Modifications:

    • Lead the installation of clean room panels and coordinate site modifications as required to meet project specifications.
  • Material & Quality Control:

    • Ensure material quality checks are performed upon arrival at the site and throughout execution to maintain quality standards.
    • Prepare material submittals for HVAC and BMS systems in compliance with project specifications.
  • Project Coordination:

    • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and team members to ensure the work aligns with project timelines and meets stringent specifications.
    • Collaborate with workers to ensure assembly and maintenance work is executed correctly and efficiently.
  • Preventive Maintenance:

    • Prepare and verify preventive maintenance logbooks and ensure compliance with scheduled maintenance for HVAC systems and other critical infrastructure.
  • Productivity & Cost Control:

    • Establish and implement procedures for monitoring productivity and identifying opportunities for cost savings, particularly in labor costs, while maintaining high standards of work quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).

  • Experience:
    4-8 years of experience in engineering projects, particularly in HVAC systems, clean room installations, and facility commissioning within regulated environments (e.g., pharmaceutical, medical devices).

  • Technical Knowledge:
    In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, air handling units, fan coil units, and clean room specifications.

  • Regulatory & Compliance:
    Understanding of compliance requirements for pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing, including cGMP and industry standards.

  • Project Management:
    Strong project management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:
    Excellent analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues in a timely and effective manner.

  • Communication Skills:
    Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Additional Skills:

    • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and associated controls.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Knowledge of cleanroom installation and maintenance standards is a plus.
