This job posting is for a Director, Global Alliance Management, R&D, Oncology Therapeutic Area at Takeda in their Cambridge, MA office. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of strategic alliances, including research, clinical development, and commercial stage partnerships
  • Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for alliances
  • Lead alliance-related decision-making, ensuring internal alignment
  • Address potential issues, conflicts, and contractual disputes
  • Monitor and track alliance performance and financial obligations
  • Mentor teams and provide guidance on alliance management best practices
  • Work cross-functionally with teams like Business Development, Legal, and Finance

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of drug development processes and alliance management
  • Experience with contract negotiations and M&A integrations
  • Leadership and strategic problem-solving abilities
  • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA required, with an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred
  • 6-10 years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, with 5+ years in direct alliance management
  • Experience managing complex global pharmaceutical development programs
