Job Overview

Fortrea is seeking a Dietary Coordinator to work directly with healthy volunteer participants in our clinical research setting. This role provides an opportunity to interact with diverse therapeutic indications and study types, including first-in-human and drug-to-drug interactions, while learning clinical research protocols. This is a full-time, office/clinic-based position with primarily first-shift hours, though occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support larger trials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Coordination & Nutritional Support:
    • Follow study-specific dietary requisitions and collaborate with clinical coordinators to create study menus.
    • Work with the dietician for nutritional guidance as needed.
    • Place dietary orders with appropriate vendors and coordinate dietary supply deliveries.
  • Inventory & Cost Management:
    • Maintain inventory of dietary supplies and manage cost-efficiency in inventory levels.
    • Maintain cost records for study meal cost reports.
  • Team Coordination & Support:
    • Oversee the dietary duties and schedules of the Dietary Assistant.
    • Ensure soft drink inventory is maintained.
    • Participate in departmental and corporate initiatives and support other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Food Service Certification is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
    • Fortrea may consider equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in data entry, word processing, and email systems.
    • Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and correspondence.
    • Able to function in a fast-paced environment with time constraints.
