Dermatology Territory Account Associate – Portland West – Remote

Summary:
This is a field-based and remote opportunity supporting key accounts in an assigned geography. Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role. Please apply only if this location is accessible for you.

The Territory Account Associate is an entry-level sales role responsible for executing the commercial strategy and building customer relationships for key-targeted accounts within a designated territory. The position includes comprehensive training in sales, product knowledge, market dynamics, and a mentorship program. Responsibilities include driving utilization and understanding local payer and hospital environments, formulary processes, discharge protocols, treatment algorithms, and disease management.

About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Address and overcome account obstacles to meet customer needs with appropriate solutions.

  • Develop a strategic territory business plan using knowledge and tactics to drive product demand.

  • Collaborate proactively with colleagues, field-based teams, and home-office personnel.

  • Utilize marketplace expertise to anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges.

  • Analyze territory market data and trends to drive pull-through and engage with customers virtually or live.

  • Lead planning meetings with partners to solve complex customer problems.

  • Provide real-time access support and collaborate with Patient Specialty Services (PSS) associates.

  • Leverage omni-channel systems to engage with customers face-to-face and virtually.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.

  • Open to applicants with limited or no prior sales experience.

  • Applicants with 4+ years of US military leadership experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate clinical product information effectively.

  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills and ethical leadership.

  • Must reside within or within a 50-mile commuting distance from the territory.

  • Ability to travel 60-80%, with a valid driver’s license.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in the 2-year Novartis Sales Internship Program.

  • Demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities.

  • Driving is an essential function of this role.

Additional Information:

  • COVID-19 vaccination may be required per customer credentialing guidelines.

  • Expected pay range: $77,000 to $143,000/year.

  • Compensation may include a sign-on bonus, stock units, and benefits like 401(k), vacation, sick time, and parental leave.

  • At-will employment; compensation subject to performance and market conditions.
