Summary:

The Dermatology Territory Account Associate is an entry-level sales role responsible for executing the commercial strategy and building customer relationships within a designated territory. This role includes extensive training in sales, product knowledge, market dynamics, and participation in a mentorship program. The associate will drive product utilization and develop a deep understanding of the local healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address and overcome obstacles within accounts to ensure customer needs are met with appropriate solutions.

  • Develop a strategic territory business plan aligned with shared priorities to drive product demand and address patient needs.

  • Collaborate with territory colleagues, field-based teams, and home-office personnel to deliver customer-focused solutions.

  • Leverage marketplace, competitor, and cross-functional knowledge to manage business opportunities and challenges effectively.

  • Analyze market data and trends to drive business insights and lead customer engagements, both virtual and live.

  • Conduct planning meetings with key partners to collaboratively solve customer problems.

  • Provide real-time access support and collaborate with Patient Specialty Services (PSS) associates.

  • Utilize omni-channel/multi-channel capabilities to engage customers face-to-face and virtually.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.

  • Candidates with limited or no prior sales experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Candidates with 4+ years of leadership experience in the U.S. Military are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate clinical product information effectively.

  • Self-starting attitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, upholding ethical standards and compliance.

  • Must reside within or within 50 miles of the territory.

  • Ability to travel 60-80% across the territory; valid driver's license required.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Participation in the 2-year Novartis Sales Internship Program.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in student activities such as sports, clubs, and fraternities.

Driving Requirement:

  • Driving is an essential function of this role. Candidates must have a fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Expected pay range: $77,000 to $143,000/year (subject to market adjustments).

  • Potential additional compensation includes sign-on bonuses, restricted stock units, discretionary awards, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave.

  • Employees will be hired as "at-will" and salary adjustments may occur based on performance and market factors.

Training Requirement:

  • Dedicated training period, requiring completion of home study and other programs within 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
