Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic Denials Director to lead and optimize our denial management processes. This senior leadership role focuses on reducing denials, improving revenue recovery, and enhancing overall financial performance. The Denials Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive process improvement, and ensure alignment with organizational financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the vision and strategy for denial management within the revenue cycle department.

  • Financial Alignment: Implement initiatives to reduce denial rates and enhance revenue recovery in alignment with division cash goals.

  • Cross-Department Coordination: Lead efforts across coding, clinical documentation, case management, and patient access teams to optimize workflows and integration in denials management.

  • Data Analysis & Strategy: Analyze denial reports, identify trends, root causes, and develop initiatives to improve revenue cycle efficiency.

  • Policy & Compliance: Establish and maintain comprehensive denial and appeals policies in compliance with industry standards and payer regulations.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders and departments to improve billing accuracy, documentation quality, and denial resolution processes.

  • Reporting & Metrics: Oversee preparation and presentation of monthly reports on denial metrics, appeal success rates, AR aging, and revenue recovery for executive leadership.

  • Process Improvement: Lead initiatives for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency in denials management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred.

  • Experience: Proven senior management experience in revenue cycle management with demonstrated success in denial management and revenue optimization.

  • Skills: Strong analytical, leadership, and communication abilities; ability to influence and drive organizational change.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Pay: $110,000 – $147,768 per year (determined by role, experience, skills, and location).

  • Bonus: Eligible for annual bonus plan with a 20% target.
