Job Overview:

The Data Team Lead will oversee the complete delivery of data management services across single or multi-service projects with minimal supervision. This role ensures high-quality, on-time, and within-budget deliverables, aligning with customer satisfaction. It requires strong leadership in project execution, communication, financial management, and compliance with GCP, SOPs, and regulatory standards.


Essential Functions:

Client Management:

  • Serve as the main contact for clients on all data management deliverables.

  • Handle project management responsibilities including issue resolution, workload forecasting, and process improvements.

  • Participate in direct client negotiations involving timelines, financials, and resources.

  • Build and maintain solid relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Service Management:

  • Coordinate with Data Operations Coordinators and project teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.

  • Resolve data issues and serve as an escalation point.

  • Support resource allocation and review Data Management Plan (DMP) documents.

  • Implement and monitor proactive quality management measures.

  • Maintain internal tracking systems and databases.

Financial/Business Development Support:

  • Manage scope of work (SOW) and budget independently with guidance.

  • Review and track financials monthly, addressing out-of-scope tasks and change orders.

  • Participate in proposal responses and bid defense meetings.

  • Support financial tracking and invoicing activities.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to process and technology improvements.

  • Participate in global or local best practice teams.

  • Execute other duties as assigned by functional managers.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Health, Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences (or a related field).

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years in Data Management.

    • At least 3 years as a CDM project lead.

    • Experience in full data management lifecycle of at least one medium Phase III trial.

  • Skills:

    • Solid understanding of DM processes including SAE and external vendor data reconciliation.

    • Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and anatomy/physiology.

    • Familiarity with GCP and relevant regulatory frameworks.

    • Strong communication and relationship management skills.


Compensation:

  • Annual Base Pay Range: $82,300.00 – $173,900.00

  • Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, education, and role specifics. Incentives and benefits may be applicable.
