Job Overview

The Data Team Lead (DTL) is responsible for end-to-end delivery of data management services for single or multi-service projects. This includes ensuring quality deliverables, on-time completion, within budget, and meeting customer satisfaction. The role provides comprehensive expertise in data management while offering leadership in project planning, execution, financial oversight, communication, and milestone delivery.


Essential Functions

  • Gather study setup requirements by collaborating with stakeholders.

  • Provide oversight and support for validation of new device integrations.

  • Supervise and perform data cleaning activities to deliver high-quality datasets.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.

  • Monitor service quality and timelines per contract/Scope of Work (SOW).

  • Support training of new joiners in the data management team.

  • Lead internal study meetings, audits, and sponsor meetings (including Study Kick-off).

  • Track and manage project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.

  • Oversee the implementation of new technologies and database revisions.

  • Collaborate with the programming team for process innovation and automation.

  • Stay compliant with training requirements and eSOPs.

  • Provide expert input on the development, revision, and maintenance of SOPs and WIs.

  • Maintain effective and collaborative communication with line managers and cross-functional teams.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences (Required).

    • Proven experience in Clinical Data Management (CDM).

  • Experience:

    • 3–4 years of direct Data Management experience.

    • Minimum 1 year as a CDM Project Lead (Preferred).

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Advanced understanding of drug development lifecycle and clinical research processes.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other computer applications.

    • Strong communication skills – English fluency (spoken and written).

    • Leadership, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
