Role Overview

The Consultant / Senior Consultant – HEOR & Evidence Synthesis position supports global Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) initiatives. This role contributes to real-world evidence (RWE) generation, health technology assessment (HTA), and evidence synthesis to strengthen product value, inform access strategies, and support clinical and market decision-making.

The position provides scientific leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic input across therapy areas while ensuring high-quality project execution.


Key Responsibilities

1. Document Development & Management (40%)

  • Lead planning, writing, editing, and reviewing of HTA and evidence-related documents.

  • Ensure accuracy and quality of scientific data.

  • Consolidate reviewer comments and prepare final document versions.

  • Deliver materials such as reimbursement dossiers and therapy-area insights.

  • Manage document timelines and negotiate content changes when required.

  • Ensure timely development of multiple document types.

2. Knowledge & Skills Development (30%)

  • Maintain deep understanding of therapeutic areas, disease states, and assigned compounds.

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of HEOR, RWE methodologies, economic evaluations, and patient-reported outcomes.

  • Monitor external environments and competitor insights to support strategic planning.

  • Provide coaching, knowledge sharing, and best-practice dissemination across teams.

  • Support scientific disclosure, submission strategy planning, and literature reviews.

3. Operational & Organizational Leadership (25%)

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

  • Represent the Bengaluru HEOR capability on cross-functional teams.

  • Provide scientific leadership and guide teams on strategy and execution.

  • Oversee project plans to ensure efficient and timely delivery.

  • Collaborate with teams to assess risks and implement mitigation solutions.

  • Contribute to team development, recognition, and diversity initiatives.

4. Capability Building & Stakeholder Value (5%)

  • Promote awareness of Bengaluru HEOR capabilities within global HEOR functions.

  • Evaluate opportunities to strengthen HEOR competencies.

  • Represent the team in key global and local leadership discussions.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD, MD) or Master’s degree or PharmD.

  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in health outcomes or health economics.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing project plans or portfolios.

  • Expertise in communicating complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively across diverse teams and global time zones.


Preferred Skills & Additional Requirements

  • Strong understanding of US and global healthcare systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence within matrixed organizations.

  • Flexibility to work across cultures and different time zones.
