Job Opportunity: Attorney – CNS Therapeutic Area

Teva is seeking an experienced Attorney to support the commercialization of its innovative medicines and biosimilars portfolio in North America, with a focus on the CNS therapeutic area. This role involves providing legal counsel across departments, including Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Compliance, Regulatory, and Procurement.

  • Location: Hybrid opportunity based in Parsippany, NJ or West Chester, PA (on-site 3 days/week).

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory

  • Advise on strategy and tactics for marketing, sales, and medical affairs within the CNS therapeutic area.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including FDA advertising laws, anti-kickback statutes, bribery regulations, transparency, privacy, and antitrust laws.
  • Participate in the Promotion and Advertising Review Committees for branded products.
  • Provide training on disease awareness campaigns, patient support programs, specialty pharmacy interactions, digital tools, and Market Access activities.

Agreement Management

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements related to healthcare professionals, vendors, licensors, consultants, and speakers.

Strategic Involvement

  • Serve on brand leadership committees and participate in strategic planning for department business plans.
  • Proactively identify and address legal issues impacting Teva and develop solutions.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with International Legal, Intellectual Property, Litigation, and other legal functions to provide comprehensive advice to clients.

Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Juris Doctorate Degree from a nationally accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar or an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
  • Ability to secure a limited in-house counsel license from the State of New Jersey within 90 days.

Experience

  • 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • 3+ years of experience advising pharmaceutical manufacturers or healthcare providers on commercial regulatory issues.
  • Familiarity with the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and U.S. privacy laws.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • A self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
