Collections Representative – US Health Care / RCM / AR Calling

Job Summary:
Optum is hiring a Collections Representative with expertise in US healthcare, revenue cycle management (RCM), or AR calling to support its dynamic billing operations in Noida. This role is integral to resolving claim issues, improving revenue recovery, and ensuring streamlined accounts receivable (AR) processes. Candidates with prior healthcare AR and denial management experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review outstanding insurance balances and resolve claim payment issues through coordination with payers, patients, and clients

  • Analyze denial trends and recommend actionable solutions to reduce overall AR aging and improve first-pass claim resolution

  • Apply a full understanding of the claim life cycle and standard accounting principles in AR processes

  • Ensure all tasks are completed within defined turn-around times and quality parameters

  • Interpret EOBs and denial codes; identify high-impact trends and contribute to process improvement

  • Adhere to internal policies and fulfill additional duties, including workflow flexibility and shift changes as required by business needs

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate in any discipline

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare accounts receivable / denial management

  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare privacy standards

  • Strong understanding of medical insurance types (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, Private Payers)

  • Experience working with AR systems and associated applications

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, and general Microsoft Office tools

  • Excellent communication skills in neutral American English accent

  • Critical thinking ability with strong judgment and problem-solving skills

  • Accurate and efficient typing skills with a high level of professionalism
