Role Overview

The Clinical Vendor Performance Analysis Manager supports the Development organization by analyzing vendor performance, optimizing costs, and identifying value creation opportunities. Using data-driven insights and financial models, the role contributes to vendor selection, contract reviews, and cost-saving initiatives.

This position emphasizes tactical execution, operational support, and analytics-driven recommendations while maintaining quality standards and fostering strong vendor relationships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support data analysis efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient sourcing decisions.

  • Conduct basic financial modeling and “should cost” analysis to support vendor reviews and contract discussions.

  • Gather supplier data, market trends, and performance metrics for analysis and reporting.

  • Collaborate with Procurement and cross-functional teams to streamline sourcing processes and improve efficiency.

  • Monitor and track sourcing KPIs and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Provide operational support for sourcing-related projects and initiatives to drive incremental improvements.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timely, efficient, and quality execution of trials and trial-related activities within assigned clinical programs.

  • Adherence to Novartis policies, guidelines, and external regulations.

  • Achievement of deliverables within budget and quality standards.


Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Experience:

  • 3+ years of relevant working experience

  • Knowledge of clinical operations and vendor management (preferred)

  • Experience with sourcing processes and cost structures in clinical research (preferred)

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools

  • Understanding of financial modeling concepts

  • Proven problem-solving and solution-generation skills

  • Results-driven with ability to execute projects according to deliverables and timelines

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment
